50 years of RFK’s Human Rights Legacy

Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights celebrates 50 years at its annual Ripple of Hope dinner on December 12 in New York. Every year it’s a gathering of activists, business leaders, policymakers, and celebrities to honor individuals who are advancing Robert F. Kennedy’s vision of a more just and peaceful world.

The 2018 Ripple of Hope laureates, announced on August 6, are 44th President of the United States Barack Obama, Discovery President and CEO David Zaslav, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, and Humana CEO Bruce D. Broussard, who were selected for their exceptional work toward a more just and peaceful world. “My father believed; ‘Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope,” said Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights President Kerry Kennedy. “On the 50th anniversary of his historic campaign for the White House, we honor laureates who have sent forth countless ripples of hope to millions of people inspired by their example.”
